Irvine’s 2025 Special Election
The results of November's election require Irvine residents to return to the polls once again. By leaving halfway through his four-year term as a City Councilmember to serve as Irvine's Mayor, Larry Agran has left a vacancy on the City Council. This opening will be filled by a representative for District 5.
On Tuesday, April 25th, an election will be held for the first ever District 5 representative to Irvine City Council. Only the 28,473 eligible voters who live in District 5 can vote in this election to choose their representative.
All registered voters within District 5 will receive a combined Voter Information Guide and Vote-by-Mail ballot beginning the week of March 17, 2025. Ballots can be returned by Vote Center, Drop Box, or mailbox.
