Rams Return to Anteater Territory
The NFL's Los Angeles Rams have once again selected UCI as the team’s training camp for the month to come. Starting this weekend, fans can skip the traffic to Sofi Stadium and save money on tickets by signing up to attend a free practice session. Each of the seven open practice sessions, two of which are already sold out (registration is required and spaces are limited), will include a Rams-themed giveaway, an autograph opportunity, and much more.
“Training camp allows fans to truly see players and coaches up-close and personal,” said Sarah Schuler, Vice President of Game Presentation and Experiential Marketing. “You get extremely close access.”
While the actual up-close and personal practice is the primary draw for rabid Rams fans, there is something for everyone to enjoy at the open practices. Youth engagement coaches will encourage kids to work out on the practice fields, cheerleaders and mascots will rally team spirit, and a video game truck will be on site for the less sporty sports fans. The merch tent will include 2,500 square feet of Rams-branded goodies, including items only available for sale at training camp.
Although it is the Rams’ eighth year at UCI, this will be the very first year for the Rams Football Academy. Kids five to sixteen-years-old can sign up on site for the youth club starting this Monday, July 31st.
With even face painting and balloons on hand to delight one and all, the LA Rams are committed to seeing each and every attendee smile.
“We try to give the Disneyland experience,” explained Schuler. “Everyone comes and leaves with happiness.”
