Census Data Shows Irvine is on the Rise

Results of the 2020 US Census are in, and the numbers show enormous growth in Irvine. We are ranked 10th among fast-growing cities with populations greater than 50,000 people. Feel like Irvine’s traffic is worse than ever? Maybe that’s because our population grew from 212,375 in 2010 to 307,670 in 2020.

Our fearless Mayor Farrah Khan credits Irvine’s 45% growth with our stellar reputation.

“We have a reputation as a master-planned community with top-ranked schools, open space, low crime, thriving business/economy, and diversity,” Tweeted Mayor Khan yesterday upon announcing the news. “There was definitely a population boom in Irvine during the past 10 years.”

This is just one milestone Irvine will be celebrating this year. Our bustling city will turn 50 this year. Get ready to celebrate!
